As a Security Officer Credential Check Patrol in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $18.87 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon04:00 PM - 12:00 AMTue04:00 PM - 12:00 AMFri04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSat04:00 PM - 12:00 AMSun04:00 PM - 12:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and members of the public by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related support, and appropriate emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and urgent situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, and document security-related observations and actions according to site protocols. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, entrances, exits, and perimeter areas to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions. Monitor activity in common areas and assist with de-escalation support, directional assistance, and communication with onsite personnel and/or first responders when needed. Complete routine reports, logs, and incident documentation, and report maintenance concerns, policy violations, and security-related issues to Allied Universal leadership and/or site contacts. Minimum Requirements: At least 6 months of security-related experience is required. Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client. A guard card or license is preferred. Access control and badge experience is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
