Anabas is a dynamic National Facilities Management company. Our focus lies in supporting corporate office occupiers looking for a great workplace experience for their staff and customers. Anabas is currently seeking to employ an experienced Shift Security Officer o provide an exceptional client experience through the delivery of their duties to one of our prestigious clients in central London. You will be in a client facing role and required to provide a 5-star customer experience. BS7858 clearance is required for this role. Key Responsibilities: To carry out security patrols throughout the client site and as instructed by the Security Manager/Supervisor, ensuring that the clients premises and assets are secure. To actively support Health and Safety objectives by responding to all emergencies in accordance with procedure and to play an integral part in the safe evacuation of visitors, staff, and contractors, minimising risk. To monitor contractor adherence to safety, reducing the risk of accidents arising from their work. Check fire routes and exits. Check the site and external perimeter for hazards. Report all incidents and unusual events to the Security Supervisor/Manager. To reduce energy consumption by switching off lights and shutting windows at night. To play an integral role in any emergency including evacuation, dealing with antisocial behaviour, and first aid incidents (or assisting trained first-aiders). To investigate matters of concern reported by the control room. To provide a visible preventative security presence by patrolling areas as instructed. To contribute toward maintaining a clean, welcoming environment for visitors by logging any issues with Control. Support and promote the values of Anabas and the client. Shift rotation: 7 nights on (19:0007:00), 3 days off, 2 days (07:0019:00), 3 days off on a rotational basis 56 hours a week. £14.80 per hour Qualifications and Experience: Possess a valid SIA Licence. Be educated to GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English. First Aid at Work qualified. Substantial experience in a security or related role, including carrying out patrols and handling incidents that may occur. Basic knowledge of criminal and civil law, and the powers associated with the role of a Security Officer. Knowledge of Health and Safety issues in relation to security matters. Able to communicate professional, concise, and accurate information in both written and verbal formats. Exceptional interpersonal and organisational skills. Able to work well in a fast-paced environment. Able to competently use the Microsoft Office package to a very good level. Flexibility to meet the needs of the business.
