Position Overview: Athabasca Basin Security is seeking an organized and reliable Industrial Security Officer. In this position you are responsible for daily operations of the specific Site/Location assigned to you. The goal of the security officer should be to maximize satisfaction of Client and maintain a healthy and safe work environment of employees, completing worksite reports, participating in the health and safety program, and supporting company security operations. Key Responsibilities: Security Writing accurate reports and memos regarding all incidents Mobile Surveillance and stakeouts Completing site inspections following alarm response 2-way radio use requiring the utmost discretion Performing opening and closing of premises Monitoring situations, cameras, property and events as per Site Post Orders Conduct perimeter checks Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders Maintain clean fleet vehicles and ensure cars do not run low on fuel Reporting Quality Review of occurrence reports, shift activity reporting. Provide written/oral briefing of daily activities or concerns with Site Security Manager. Attend scheduled meetings with Site Security Manager. Incident reports. Weekly/Daily Shift Reports. Schedule: · 12-hour shifts (day or night) · casuals will be offered shifts as they are available Mandatory Qualifications: · Certificate of Completion of the Saskatchewan Security Guard Training Course is required · Valid Saskatchewan Class 5 Driver’s License is required Requirements: · Pre-Access Drug & Alcohol test is required before starting work, or accessing new field work sites · Criminal Record Check is required to obtain a security guard license · Excellent observation, communication, and conflict resolution skills · Ability to work independently and remain alert during long shifts · Physically capable of standing, walking, climbing stairs, and conducting vehicle and outdoor walking patrols Job Type: Full-time Pay: From $17.50 per hour Benefits: On-site parking Licence/Certification: Saskatchewan Security Licence/Course (required) Class 5 Driver's Licence (required) Location: Saskatoon, SK (required) Work Location: In person
