Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $21.50 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeFri05:45 PM - 06:00 AMSat05:45 PM - 06:00 AMSun05:45 PM - 06:00 AM What You'll Do: Provide customer service to clients, staff, visitors, and/or the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a government location. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns through appropriate channels. Conduct regular and random armed patrols throughout assigned buildings, grounds, access points, and perimeter areas, with working environments and conditions varying by location. Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or authorizations as required, and help to deter unauthorized access, prohibited items, and other policy violations. Support order throughout the location by remaining prepared to respond to alarms, requests for assistance, medical situations, and other security-related events in accordance with post orders and training. Minimum Requirements: Be at least 21 years of age. A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements. A valid firearms permit is preferred. An armed guard card or license is preferred. Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Participate in industry-specific security training programs. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
