As a Security Guard Full Time Patrol Officer in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls, and more. Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer at a busy retail location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and support access awareness throughout the property. Position Type: Full Time Pay Rate: $19.00 / Hour Job Schedule: DayTimeMon07:00 AM - 03:00 PMFri08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSat08:00 AM - 04:00 PMSun07:00 AM - 03:00 PM What You'll Do: Provide customer service by carrying out site-specific procedures, following client policies, and/or supporting emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns to the appropriate contacts. Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floor areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter spaces, as assigned. Monitor for unusual activity, policy violations, and/or potential hazards to help to deter theft, trespassing, and other unwanted behavior within the location. Assist with access control, crowd flow, and closing or opening procedures, while maintaining a professional presence and providing assistance to visitors, customers, and staff. Minimum Requirements: Loss prevention experience is preferred. Customer service experience is preferred. Access control and/or badge experience is preferred. A state, county, or city issued security-related license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
