Lead Teacher: Older Infant
Children and Family Enrichment
Preferred Minimum Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in Education (or similar field), or CDA 3 years Early Childhood Education Experience 1 year Experience as the Lead Teacher Experience with DHS Licensure Regulations Ability to obtain CPR certification Passing a background check Ability to learn and teach web-based emergent curriculum Teaching Duties: Maintain ongoing, open communication with parents and caregivers. Ensure that each family receives an opportunity to build strong relationships with teacher Provide a classroom environment that encourages parent participation. Plan with the Early Enrichment Center (EEC) Director periodical parent conferences to discuss children's developmental progress, needs and interests. Collaborate with children's families to ensure a smooth transition from home to Early Enrichment Center setting. Implement social emotional learning techniques and facilitate in the classroom setting. Create monthly lesson plans which implement the Creative Curriculum and the TN ELDS domains for each child's development Provide a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment that reflects the children's learning and growth. Perform ongoing developmental evaluations of children as required and keep documentation in portfolio. Consistently follow and maintain all TN DHS Licensure rules and regulations for child care centers. Maintain open and consistent communication with classroom teaching team (assistant teachers) to ensure healthy work relationships and collaboration. Support the development and growth of assistant teachers in the classroom. Document the development of each child using anecdotal notes and the Gold assessment. Create an individual folder for each child with assignments, assessments, and overall updates. Maintain hourly communication with parents and caregivers through Brightwheel during shift hours. Participate in pre-service and professional development facilitated by the leadership team to promote ongoing learning.
