Pay: From £13.79 per hour Expected hours: ~42 per week We are looking for security officers to work a mixed rotation working at a housing hostel in the Winchester area. These Centres support vulnerable, homeless and marginalised people by providing accommodation and helping them gain the skills, confidence and opportunities to live a fulfilled life. Main Responsibilities: · Provide a visible, alert and reassuring security presence outside of normal office hours · Monitor entry into the premises · Manage visitors to the property · Undertake routine foot patrols · Monitor behaviour of residents ensuring house rules are adhered to · Respond to and manage incidents efficiently and effectively · Utilise dedicated technology which includes, body worn CCTV, check call systems, mobile applications, digital evidence management software and patrol timekeeping systems · Maintain effective communications with the project supervisor ensuring that issues are raised and dealt with promptly and effectively · Liaise with client representatives, police and other agencies as necessary · Complete necessary documentation including incident and occurrence reports as required Details: · Working night shifts, 1700 - 0500hrs Monday-Friday, 1800 – 0600hrs Saturday and Sunday, 4 days on, 4 days off. · Pro rota paid annual leave · Overtime opportunities covering annual leave · Extensive training and further opportunities provided Candidate requirements: · Job holders must have a current and active SIA licence (either Door Supervisor or Close Protection) · Must be robust and willing to deal with challenging behaviour whilst maintaining a friendly approachable demeanour · Able to use own initiative to assess situations and respond appropriately · Smart, well-presented and confident This job would suit someone looking for challenging but rewarding full-time security role.
