About this role
Treaty City Brewery is one of Ireland’s most exciting independent craft breweries — and we’re proud of it. Based on Nicholas St, we brew great beer, run a thriving bar and events space, and serve a busy daytime trade that keeps the doors buzzing from 8am. That means great coffee, freshly baked scones, hearty toasties — and plenty of our own beer poured to guests who appreciate the setting as much as the pint.
We’re looking for an experienced and passionate Food & Hospitality Manager to take ownership of that daytime offering — leading the team, maintaining quality, managing our Childers Road Prep Kitchen, and delivering exceptional guest experiences every day.
This is a hands-on leadership role with real scope to shape our daytime offering, mentor a talented team, and grow with us as we build the Treaty City brand. You’ll bring the standards and energy of a great hospitality manager — and you’ll thrive in an environment where craft beer is at the heart of everything we do.
THE ROLE AT A GLANCE
Contract Type
Fixed-Term (Maternity Cover). We are a growing business and genuinely interested in retaining exceptional people — where the right fit exists after the contract period, we will explore every opportunity to do so.
Hours
8:00am – 4:30pm; weekend availability required. Late evenings by exception only.
Location
Primary: Nicholas St, Limerick. Also managing the Childers Road Prep Kitchen.
Salary
€34,000 – €40,000 depending on experience
Reports To
Head of Operations / Management Team
WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING
You’ll take full ownership of our daytime hospitality offering — food, coffee, beer service, and the overall guest experience — working closely with our Marketing, Events, and Operations teams to deliver something that genuinely reflects the character and quality of Treaty City Brewery.
Customer Excellence
Set the standard for customer service and lead by example on the floor every day Build a genuine service culture — not just delivering service, but embedding it across the team Coach staff in service behaviours, helping them understand what great hospitality looks and feels like Ensure every guest — whether they’re in for a morning coffee, a toastie, or one of our craft beers — leaves having had a genuinely great experience
Team Culture & Development
Cultivate a team culture built on pride, warmth, and professionalism Mentor and develop staff to create a welcoming, high-standard atmosphere day in, day out Foster a genuine hospitality mindset across the team — not just task completion, but guest connection Maintain standards consistently and support staff in doing the same Lead daily briefings and support ongoing performance and development conversations
Food, Coffee, Beer & Quality
Oversee daily production of our daytime food offering — scones, toasties, and rotating specials Maintain high standards across the coffee offering — consistency, quality, and presentation in every cup Support the team in delivering our beer offering to the same high standard — product knowledge, serve quality, and pride in what we pour Ensure food and drink quality is never compromised — from preparation through to how it lands on the table Hold the line on cleanliness, venue presentation, and the overall guest environment Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and HACCP standards Develop seasonal specials that keep the menu interesting and reflect what we do well
Operations, Ordering & Multi-Site Oversight
Oversee daily operations across our Nicholas St venue and the Childers Road Prep Kitchen Manage food and supplies ordering, stock control, and supplier relationships across both sites Monitor waste, cost efficiency, and portion control without compromising quality Maintain clear records and follow through on operational detail — nothing falls through the cracks
Marketing & Events Collaboration
Work with the Marketing team to promote our full daytime offering — food, coffee, and beer — across social and in-venue channels Contribute ideas for food and beer-led events, seasonal campaigns, and collaborations Support the Events team to deliver a seamless guest experience on event days Help build the Treaty City daytime brand as something the whole team is proud of
WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR
You don’t need a brewery background — but you do need to know how to run a tight, high-quality daytime hospitality operation. The ideal candidate will be:
Currently managing or leading a daytime hospitality operation — whether that’s a coffee shop, restaurant, hotel, or similar venue An appreciation for what a great independent brewery stands for — and a desire to be part of that, not just working alongside it An experienced team leader who brings the best out of people Organised, proactive, and comfortable managing stock, schedules, and suppliers Creative — someone who enjoys building a specials board and keeping the menu interesting A confident communicator who works well across departments Flexible for weekend shifts and the occasional late evening when needed
WHAT WE OFFER
€34,000 – €40,000 per annum, commensurate with experience Daytime hours — 8:00am to 4:30pm, no regular late nights A genuinely unique setting — running a daytime hospitality operation inside one of Ireland’s best independent craft breweries, surrounded by people who care deeply about what they make A collaborative team that values your input Staff benefits and a great working environment in a thriving venue Genuine interest in retaining the right person beyond the contract period
