URGENTLY HIRING – Loss Prevention Security Guard Pay: $17.60–$19.00 per hour Job Type: In-Person Locations: Toronto & Ottawa, ON Job Overview We are seeking vigilant and dedicated Loss Prevention Security Guards to join our team. This role is vital in safeguarding property, preventing theft, and maintaining a secure environment for staff and customers. The ideal candidate will have strong security experience and a professional approach to loss prevention. Responsibilities Monitor premises through surveillance systems, including CCTV, to detect suspicious activity or security breaches Conduct regular patrols of the facility to ensure safety and security protocols are followed Observe customer and employee behavior for signs of theft or misconduct Respond promptly to security incidents, alarms, or emergencies according to established procedures Document incidents accurately and thoroughly in reports for future reference Collaborate with law enforcement agencies when necessary during investigations or incidents Enforce company policies related to loss prevention and security measures Maintain a visible security presence to deter potential theft or misconduct Qualifications & Experience Minimum 1 year of retail security or loss prevention experience required Prior experience in law enforcement, private security, or loss prevention is highly preferred Knowledge of surveillance systems, CCTV operation, and monitoring techniques Strong understanding of loss prevention strategies and best practices Excellent observational and communication skills Ability to remain calm and professional in high-pressure situations Ability to work independently while following company policies and procedures Requirements Must reside in Toronto or Ottawa Must hold a valid Security Guard Licence Must be CPR Certified Must be Use of Force Certified Must be able to travel independently to assigned sites Applicants must clearly include the number of years or months of security experience on their resume How to Apply Please send your resume and valid Security Guard Licence via WhatsApp to (647) 289-1070.
