We have a vacancy for a Registry Clerk in a public health team in Bloemfontein, Free State. You will capture patient data onto information systems, verify accuracy, generate statistical reports, and maintain confidentiality of health records in line with data protection legislation. Accuracy and attention to detail are paramount. Responsibilities Conduct inspections of premises and operations to assess compliance with relevant legislation, regulations, and by-laws. Provide administrative support to senior officials including diary management, travel arrangements, and meeting pack preparation. Assist with planning, implementation, and monitoring of programmes and projects by maintaining documentation and tracking progress. Coordinate and facilitate community meetings, workshops, and awareness campaigns, preparing materials and venues. Capture, verify, and update data on departmental information systems accurately and timeously to ensure database integrity. Requirements Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to draft correspondence and interact respectfully with the public. A clear criminal record is essential as the role involves access to sensitive information and interaction with vulnerable persons. A minimum of one to two years of experience in an administrative, clerical, or community-facing role in government or non-profit. Strong organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload and meet deadlines in a busy office environment. Knowledge of legislation such as the Promotion of Access to Information Act and National Archives Act for records roles. Qualifications Diploma in Community Development or Environmental Health
