Overview We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Warehouse Operative to join our dynamic logistics team. The ideal candidate will have experience in warehouse distribution, and order fulfillment. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills in warehouse management systems, shipping & receiving. The Warehouse Operative will play a vital role in ensuring efficient warehouse operations, accurate order picking, and safe handling of goods across our facility. Duties Operate pump truck and hand truck to load and unload goods safely and efficiently Assist with order picking, packaging, and order fulfillment to meet delivery deadlines Manage shipping & receiving processes, including verifying shipments Conduct heavy lifting tasks and move materials within the warehouse environment Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing stock and maintaining inventory accuracy Utilize mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing routine maintenance Ensure compliance with safety procedures when handling heavy equipment and performing construction-related tasks if applicable Assist in load & unload operations to ensure timely processing of goods Maintain a clean and organized work environment to promote safety and efficiency Qualifications Proven experience in warehouse operations or related fields such as manufacturing or construction Familiarity with warehouse management systems (WMS) such as AS400 or similar platforms Ability to operate heavy equipment including forklifts, reach trucks, cranes, and order pickers; relevant certifications are preferred Mechanical knowledge for troubleshooting equipment issues and performing basic repairs Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and extended periods of standing or walking within the warehouse Experience with shipping & receiving processes, order picking, packaging, and load & unload activities Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and warehouse safety standards Previous warehouse experience is highly desirable but not mandatory; training will be provided for qualified candidates This position is integral to maintaining smooth warehouse operations while ensuring safety and efficiency across all tasks.
