Overview We are seeking an organized and detail-oriented Shipping and Receiving Clerk to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the efficient movement of goods, accurate inventory management, quality control and smooth warehouse operations. The ideal candidate will have experience with warehouse management systems, order fulfillment, and equipment such as forklifts and cranes . This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment focused on custom fabrication. Duties Receive incoming shipments, verify contents against purchase orders, and document receipt using warehouse management systems such as MIE Solutions Prepare outgoing shipments by following procedures Call and arrange pickup or carriers on customers behalf. Load and unload trucks safely utilizing forklifts, cranes, or other material handling equipment Pack products securely for shipment, ensuring proper labeling and documentation Ensure quality control through product measurement prior to shipping. Build custom wood skids for shipping to domestically and internationally Ensure compliance with safety standards during all loading, unloading, and storage activities Organize warehouse space efficiently to facilitate smooth distribution operations Collaborate with manufacturing staff to optimize workflow and improve overall distribution processes Yard and building maintenance as required such as snow removal. Assist other departments as required. Requirements Previous experience in manufacturing shipping & receiving, or warehouse distribution preferred Proficiency with warehouse management systems ERP such as MIE Solutions is a plus Experience operating forklifts, Cranes, or other material handling equipment required; certification preferred Strong basic math skills for inventory counting and order accuracy Ability to measure and inspect product prior to shipping. Ability to perform order picking and load & unload activities efficiently and safely Knowledge of packaging standards for shipping products securely Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with attention to detail Good organizational skills and ability to follow safety protocols at all times Outgoing and friendly demeanor. This role is essential for maintaining efficient manufacturing operations and ensuring timely delivery of products. We seek motivated candidates who are committed to accuracy, safety, and teamwork.
