HR Ratings, the leading Latin American credit rating agency, and a SEC registered rating organization for corporates, financial institutions, and public finance ratings, is strongly expanding into the US market, with a focus on providing a differentiated rating service to US based entities in the private debt market through its recently opened Miami, Florida office. HR Ratings is seeking highly motivated professionals with credit analysis, capital markets or finance backgrounds to join the corporates analysis group at Analyst (1-2 years' experience) level. The role is highly analytical, with responsibility as primary credit analyst on a wide variety of rating processes across the corporates scope. The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated, responsible individual, who also enjoys the opportunity to interact with a multicultural team and is able to provide the highest level of service to issuers and investors through a strong analytical background. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Analyzing the critical credit, financial and structural elements of US corporate entities and related transactions through a fundamental analysis frameworkDeployment and implementation of fundamental analysis techniques, tools and models used as part of the rating processEffectively assessing and processing the relevant data for the credit quality of an entity or issuer (qualitative analysis)Understanding and develop the models and model inputs that are part of HR Ratings' methodologies (quantitative analysis)Knowledge of factors such as geographic location, sector, industry, and regulatory framework for the ratings in which the analyst is involvedPresenting and discussing rating proposals with the internal Credit CommitteeLeading and/or supporting related industry research projectsMaintaining assigned rating relationshipsKnowledge and understanding of the relevant methodologies related to the day-to-day processesAssisting in the development of ratings criteria, including writing relevant reports, and developing recommendations to bolster analysis Some Qualifications of Ideal Candidate: Finance BA/BSc degree, or relatedSolid work experience either in credit rating analysis (or related field) for the corporates' sector, or a related role involving financial analysisExceptional oral and written communication skills (particularly written) with strong attention to detailStrong quantitative, analytical, and technical expertise; and a solid basic understanding of credit fundamentals, combined with a willingness and ability to quickly learn new concepts, methodologies and techniquesExcellent time management and organization abilities, as individual will be self-motivated and will be required to manage timelines across many projectsAbility to develop and maintain effective working and professional relationships, with initiative, participation, and team collaboration as core valuesExcellent work ethic with the ability to multi-task and meet deadlinesFluent English speaker (required)Fluent Spanish speaker (desirable given many colleagues are based in Mexico, although not essential) Benefits: Health InsurancePerformance Bonus401K Employer MatchGYM/Wellness Support Please contact our human resources team: [email protected] /[email protected] / [email protected] for further details.
