In partnership with the U.S. Forest Service, MobilizeGreen will offer a Virtual Youth Conservation Program in the Summer of 2026. Participants' daily schedules will blend virtual lessons and environmental curriculum with exploring Green STEM career opportunities, and designated time working on collaborative environmental projects. The Virtual YCP experience is unique and can create memories and friendships that last a lifetime. The program offers participants a paid stipend of $250 per week.Term:3 weeks; Full-time position (Monday through Friday, Hours depend on time zone)Program Dates:Cohort 1: June 22 - July 10, 2026Cohort 2: July 13 - July 31, 2026You will be assigned to one cohortCohort preference can be stated on the application formSome topics covered in the virtual program are as follows:Environmental resilienceFire-dependent ecology and managementWildfire mappingLeave No Trace practicesCareer & Professional DevelopmentCommunity Based Environmental StewardshipTime management and self-careLeadership trainingPlus opportunities for service learning and self guided hands on projectsBenefits:Weekly stipend of $250 for participatingReceive technical support and equipment assistanceDevelop collaboration and leadership skillsWork with other high school students from across the countryExplore and learn to protect natural resourcesLearn about cultural and natural resource management careersPossibility of earning service learning hoursEligibility:We encourage all youth to consider applying for YCP positions.Must be at least 15 by June 1 of the program year and may not be older than 18 years old before August 31 of the program yearMust be enrolled in high school or a 2026 graduateMust be able to fully commit to program dates and meeting timesMust be able to fulfill the essential functions of the assigned work with or without reasonable accommodationsHave a valid U.S. Social Security number or have applied for a valid Social Security number by start of programMust be able to obtain a work permit if neededMust be a citizen of the United States or permanent residentIf you do not meet all of these qualifications, but believe you are a good fit for the position, we highly encourage you to apply anyway.For more information on MobilizeGreen go to: www.mobilizegreen.org.Salary: $250 Per week
