Introduction Established International manufacturing company invites applications from qualified HR Managers to operate on a National SA level. Location - Durban KZN KPA: - Providing strategic and operational HR leadership across all South African operations, partnering with senior management to align HR strategies with business objectives, supports a complex multi-site manufacturing environment, and oversees all facets of the HR function including Manpower Planning and Strategy Compensation, Benefits and Mobility Talent Acquisition, Talent Management and Employee Development HR Systems, Policies and Practices, Compliance IR - CCMA, Disciplinaries, Daily IR issues Employee Relations, Wellness Duties & Responsibilities Job Description Serve as a trusted Strategic and Operational HR Business Partner to senior management in the region. Develop and implement HR strategies and interventions aligned with organisational and operational goals. Contribute to business results through data-driven HR insights and analytics. Align all HR functions and policies with both local legislative and global company requirements. Provide strategic input into restructuring and organisational design initiatives. Human Resources Operations Oversee all aspects of the HR function Manage country HR Lead the full HR operations lifecycle Monitor and ensure the consistent application of HR systems, practices and processes Talent Acquisition and Management Manage middle and management-level recruitment and onboarding processes Implement and oversee talent management strategies, succession planning, and bursary programmes Employee Development and Engagement Promote a culture of continuous learning and professional development Facilitate performance management processes, including individual development plans and recognition programmes Compile and submit annual training reports and workplace skills plan Coordinate training programmes and workshops aligned with company HR policies Compensation, Benefits, and Mobility Manage employee benefits including medical aid, allowances, retirement funds, and incentives Member of the Provident Fund Committee Provide input to payroll processes Coordinate expatriate mobility, work permits, relocation support, and international HR due diligence Support in yearly AOP process and prepare salary structuring proposals Employee Wellness and Culture Lead initiatives that promote a positive workplace culture and employee wellness Coordinate employee recognition programmes Compliance, Governance, and Employee Relations Ensure compliance with local employment legislation Review, draft, and align employment policies, procedures, and contracts with South African labour laws and international benchmarks Facilitate all aspects of labour and employee relations, including investigations, disciplinary proceedings, and representation at the CCMA Compile and submit EE reports Ensure audit compliance and adherence to governance and related controls and practices HR Analytics and Reporting Compile HR analytics reports to identify workforce trends, issues of concern, and opportunities Recommend and implement interventions based on data insights. Provide regular reports to the senior leadership team Shared Services and Stakeholder Collaboration Provide oversight of Shared Services and decentralised HR Business Partners Negotiate service-level agreements (SLAs) and manage relationships with third-party service providers (e.g. training providers, wellness providers and recruitment agencies) Collaborate with international stakeholders on global HR initiatives in line with company and group guidelines and requirements Desired Experience & Qualification EDUCATION Registered with the South African Board for People Practices (SABPP) Postgraduate qualification or professional HR certification is advantageous A recognised Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology, or a related field 2. Work Experience 1. At least 10+ years HR experience in a senior managerial role 2. Experience within the manufacturing or engineering sector is required 3. Extensive experience managing multi-site operations and large employee populations Budgetary and Procurement Responsibility Manage HR department budgets and monitor costs associated with training, recruitment, employee engagement and related HR initiatives Lead procurement activities for HR-related service providers, negotiating contracts and service-level agreements Key Competencies and Skills Business Skills Commercial and Business Acumen - Demonstrates strong commercial awareness and a thorough understanding of business operations and drivers of organisational success Strategic HR Alignment - Effectively aligns HR practices, policies, and initiatives with broader organisational strategies and business goals Labour Legislation and Compliance Expertise - Possesses in-depth knowledge of South African labour legislation, employment equity, and compliance requirements, ensuring legal and ethical HR practices Global HR and Mobility Management - Understands international HR standards, expatriate policies, and cross-border employment practices, including relocation and mobility support Data Analysis and Insight Generation - Applies analytical skills to interpret HR data, identify trends, and provide evidence-based insights to support business decision-making Decision-Making and Problem Solving - Exercises sound judgment and resolves complex challenges through structured problem-solving and informed decision-making Planning and Organisational Excellence - Demonstrates strong planning, prioritisation, and organisational skills to manage multiple HR functions, projects, and deadlines effectively Computer Literacy Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) Experience in using HR analytics and reporting tools Additional/Specific Work Requirements Ability to travel regularly between sites Willingness to work flexible hours when required to support factory operations Experience in conducting HR due diligence and related interventions Package & Remuneration CTC Negotiable and market related
