Overview We are seeking a vigilant and professional Security Officer to safeguard our premises, staff, and visitors. A hospital security guard is responsible for maintaining a safe and secure environment for patients, staff, and visitors. The role typically involves monitoring entrances and exits, patrolling hospital premises, and responding to incidents such as disturbances, emergencies, or unauthorized access. Guards may check identification, manage visitor access, and assist in enforcing hospital policies. They also play an important role in emergency situations, helping to guide evacuations or support medical staff when needed. Strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to stay calm under pressure are essential in this role. Responsibilities Conduct regular patrols of the premises to deter unauthorised access and identify potential security risks. Monitor surveillance equipment such as CCTV systems to observe activity and ensure safety protocols are adhered to. Respond promptly to alarms, incidents, or emergencies, including providing first aid when necessary. Enforce loss prevention policies by monitoring customer behaviour and preventing theft or vandalism. Maintain detailed incident reports and logs of daily activities, security breaches, or unusual occurrences. Assist visitors and staff with enquiries while maintaining a professional and approachable demeanour. Collaborate with local authorities or emergency services during incidents requiring external intervention. Skills Proven experience in surveillance operations and CCTV monitoring. Must have CCTV Operators licence/ Door Supervisors License. Strong understanding of loss prevention techniques and security procedures. Ability to remain calm under pressure and respond effectively during emergencies. First aid certification is highly desirable, with the ability to provide initial assistance if required. Excellent observational skills with keen attention to detail. Good communication skills, both written and verbal, with a professional attitude at all times. Organised with the ability to complete detailed reports accurately and promptly. This role is integral to maintaining a secure environment for all stakeholders, ensuring safety through vigilance, professionalism, and proactive measures.
