Job Description: Project Director – Infrastructure ( Roads and Utilities) Abu Dhabi, UAE We are supporting a leading master developer in the UAE in the appointment of a Project Director to lead the delivery of major infrastructure works, with a strong focus on roads and utilities, within large-scale construction programs. The Project Director will oversee the full lifecycle of infrastructure projects, acting as the primary point of contact for clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory authorities. This role is critical to ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. What You’ll Be Doing:Act as the primary representative with clients, contractors, consultants, and government authorities Lead the delivery of large-scale infrastructure projects, with a focus on roads, utilities, and associated works Oversee project execution plans, including health & safety, quality assurance/control, and risk management frameworks Manage and direct multidisciplinary teams, ensuring optimal resource allocation and performance Monitor project progress, budgets, schedules, and KPIs to ensure successful delivery Identify and mitigate risks, delays, and cost overruns through proactive planning and corrective actions Lead commercial discussions, including scope changes, claims, and variations Ensure full compliance with local regulations, standards, and client requirements Provide regular reporting to senior stakeholders on project status, key milestones, and critical issues Support stakeholder engagement and maintain strong relationships with all project parties Drive continuous improvement, innovation, and best practices across project delivery What Required Skills You’ll Bring:Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline Minimum 20+ years of experience in infrastructure project delivery, with a strong emphasis on construction Proven track record delivering large-scale roads and utilities projects. Extensive experience managing large, multidisciplinary engineering and construction teams Mandatory Middle East experience. In-depth knowledge of infrastructure standards and regulations.
