Our client is a premier engineering consultancy seeking a highly experienced Lead Civil Infrastructure Engineer to spearhead critical projects. This role is central to the planning, design, and execution of major infrastructure developments. You will be responsible for overseeing project lifecycles, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, sustainable, and cost-effective solutions. The ideal candidate will possess a robust understanding of civil engineering principles, extensive experience in infrastructure design (roads, bridges, water systems, etc.), and strong project management capabilities. You will liaunt with clients, regulatory bodies, and stakeholders to ensure project success. This is an on-site position requiring a commitment to meticulous planning and execution.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design and development of various civil infrastructure projects, including transportation, water management, and site development. Manage project teams, including engineers, technicians, and surveyors, ensuring effective collaboration and task delegation. Develop project plans, budgets, and schedules, and monitor progress to ensure timely and cost-effective completion. Conduct site investigations, feasibility studies, and impact assessments. Prepare detailed engineering designs, drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Ensure compliance with all relevant codes, standards, regulations, and environmental requirements. Review and approve engineering work performed by project teams and external consultants. Act as a primary point of contact for clients, government agencies, and other stakeholders. Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineering staff. Contribute to business development efforts, including proposal writing and client presentations. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited institution. Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in civil infrastructure engineering, with a significant portion in a lead or supervisory role. Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects from concept to completion. Expertise in relevant design software (e.g., AutoCAD Civil 3D, Bentley MicroStation). Strong knowledge of structural analysis, geotechnical engineering, hydrology, and traffic engineering principles. Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. Experience in contract administration and construction oversight. Ability to perform site visits and work effectively in diverse project environments. A strong commitment to safety, quality, and sustainable engineering practices.
