MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB To deliver safe, basic nursing care according to Scope of Practice KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS Deliver basic nursing care in collaboration with the multidisciplinary teamIdentify, prevent and report risks to ensure patient safetyContribute to a positive patient experience by assisting in the creation of a therapeutic environmentProvide accurate and comprehensive records of all nursing interventions Participate in creating a learning environment that builds staff competenceEnsure that all utilised stock and equipment are accurately charted Required Education ESSENTIAL EDUCATION: Higher certificate in nursing (or equivalent) Desired Education Continuous Professional Development (CPD) courses for specific speciality areas Required Experience ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE: None Desired Experience 1 year post qualification experience Required Job Skills And Knowledge Infection prevention and controlBasic Life SupportComputer literate (Microsoft Office)Regulations regarding the Scope of Practice for Nurses and MidwivesRelevant nursing legislationScientific nursing processRisk identificationNursing proceduresPatient observation skills
