We are recruiting a Retail Security Guard for a corporate client site in Randburg, Gauteng. You will control access to the premises, conduct searches of personnel and vehicles, monitor CCTV systems, and maintain a visible security presence. The ideal candidate is alert, disciplined, and presents a professional image. Responsibilities Provide excellent customer service to clients, tenants, and visitors while maintaining a firm and professional security presence. Conduct searches of personnel, vehicles, and bags entering or leaving the premises to prevent unauthorised removal of property. Respond promptly to alarm activations, investigate the cause, and take appropriate action including escalation to armed response or law enforcement. Supervise and coordinate a team of security officers, managing shift rosters and ensuring all posts are adequately staffed. Write detailed and accurate incident reports describing security events, observations, and actions taken for management review. Conduct regular patrols of the assigned premises on foot or by vehicle, checking for security breaches, hazards, and suspicious activity. Requirements A clear criminal record is mandatory and subject to regular review as per PSIRA requirements. A minimum of one to two years of experience in the security industry with a proven track record of reliability. A valid driver's licence is required for armed response and patrol positions. A valid PSIRA registration at the appropriate grade level for the position being applied for. Good written and verbal communication skills to write reports and interact professionally with clients and the public. Grade 12 certificate is preferred; Grade 10 may be acceptable for certain entry-level positions. Physical fitness and the ability to stand for extended periods, conduct foot patrols, and respond quickly to incidents. Qualifications PSIRA Grade C Registration
