The Opportunity Stone Age Masons is seeking an experienced, hands-on, and highly driven General Manager to lead and manage the overall manufacturing division of the business. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations, production planning, project coordination, operational efficiency, team management, and profitability across the division. The successful candidate will manage a team of approximately 40 staff within the manufacturing yard and will play a key role in driving production performance and overall profitability. This role requires strong presence in the yard, close coordination across ongoing projects, and active involvement in planning, resource allocation, and operational management. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the full manufacturing division and daily yard operations Oversee multiple teams within the manufacturing function Drive operational efficiency, productivity, and profitability Manage production planning, scheduling, and project execution Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget Coordinate labour allocation, workload planning, and operational resources Oversee machinery procurement and operational systems Reduce waste, improve labour productivity, and optimise manufacturing performance Liaise with clients regarding ongoing projects and delivery timelines Lead operational meetings, reporting, and performance reviews Work closely with company leadership on budgeting and operational strategy Candidate Requirements 10+ years of proven leadership experience and relevant industry experience with a strong construction background ideally within manufacturing Strong operational management and project management capability Overseeing diverse functions within a manufacturing environment Strong understanding of production workflows, labour management, and operational planning Entrepreneurial and commercially aware with strong prioritisation and problem-solving capability Highly energetic, proactive, and hands-on leadership style Strong communication and organisational skills Performance & Accountability The successful candidate will be accountable for the overall performance and profitability of the manufacturing division, including: Production efficiency and output Labour productivity and workforce management Production planning and project execution Cost control and waste reduction Delivery performance and project timelines Team leadership, accountability, and operational standards The business operates structured reporting systems focused on operational efficiency, labour performance, turnover, profitability, and production output. The Opportunity
