JOB DESCRIPTION This role will support the Finance team by delivering high quality financial analysis, automated reporting, and insightful data visualisation. The role focuses on capital financial management, cost allocation across retail businesses, manufacturing, and service departments, and providing actionable insights to budget owners and Central Finance stakeholders. A key requirement of the role is the automation and enhancement of finance reporting processes to improve accuracy, efficiency, and decision-making. Responsibilities Financial Analysis & Reporting Support capital financial management, including capital tracking, depreciation analysis, and investment reporting Partner with the Management Accountant to support month-end, forecasting, and budgeting processes Data Automation & Process Improvement Design, build, and maintain automated financial reports and dashboards to reduce manual effort and improve turnaround times Identify opportunities to streamline and standardise data processes using automation tools and best practices Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and consistency of financial data across systems and reports Document data processes, assumptions, and business rules to ensure transparency and continuity Data Visualisation & Insights Develop clear, intuitive, and decision-oriented visualisations for financial and operational data Translate complex financial data into meaningful insights for non-technical stakeholders Key Deliverables: Automated monthly IT capital and cost allocation reports Accurate financial dashboards with clear visualisation of key metrics Capital tracking and reporting aligned to finance governance standards Actionable financial insights to support budgeting, forecasting, and cost management Qualifications Bachelor's degree or Diploma Data Analysis, Information Systems 2-3 years' experience in financial analysis, data analysis, or finance reporting role Experience within retail, shared services, or large organisations preferred Exposure to IT finance or project-based capital reporting (advantageous) Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel Experience with data visualisation and associated tools Understanding of financial principles, including cost allocation and capital accounting Experience working with large datasets and multiple data sources Familiarity with ERP or finance systems (e.g. SAP or equivalent) advantageous Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Physical and Technical Access Management Strong communication skills with the ability to engage non-financial stakeholders Data Visualization Planning & Organizing Behaviours: High attention to detail with the ability to see the bigger picture Continuous improvement mindset with a focus on efficiency and automation Cultivates Innovation - creates an environment that fosters and nurtures a culture of creativity which drives success Drives Engagement - inspires, motivates and empowers individuals to go above and beyond for the benefit of the team and the organisation Manages Ambiguity - adapts effectively to situations that are complex, uncertain, or lack guidelines and clear information Manages Complexity - interprets and simplifies complex and contradictory information when resolving organisational problems Optimizes Work Processes - assesses and improves the efficiency, effectiveness, and quality of various work processes Situational Adaptability - effectively adjusts their behaviour, approach, and decision-making based on the situation Strategic Mindset - thinks and plans strategically, focusing on the long-term goals and objectives of the organisation Preference will be given, but not limited to candidates from designated groups in terms of the Employment Equity Act. Qualifications
