This November, we are bringing Mala Tara to select San Francisco coffee and tea festival events, creating warm, sensory tea experiences for customers looking for meaningful gifts, wellness rituals, and beautifully crafted products. We are looking for a passionate individual to support our San Francisco event season. San Francisco Event Dates This role is for the following San Francisco events: San Francisco Coffee Festival Saturday–Sunday, November 7–8 Fort Mason Center, San Francisco, CA 9:30 AM – 4:30 PM San Francisco International Tea Festival Saturday–Sunday, November 14–15 Ferry Building Marketplace, San Francisco, CA 10:00 AM – 5:00 PM Applicants may apply for one or both event weekends. Please clearly indicate your availability when applying. What You’ll Do Engage & Educate: Welcome customers to the booth, create a warm and inviting atmosphere, and share Mala Tara’s values, story, and whole-flower tea experience. Drive Sales: Recommend products, gift sets, and event offerings based on customer needs while supporting daily sales goals. Pop-Up Operations: Brew teas, maintain beautiful visual merchandising, assist with inventory, and keep the booth organized throughout the event. Customer Experience: Support a smooth checkout experience and help each customer leave with a positive impression of Mala Tara. Who We’re Looking For Early in your journey: This role is ideal for someone early in their marketing, retail, hospitality, wellness, or brand-building journey who wants hands-on experience with a growing consumer brand. Event ready: You enjoy pop-up events, customer conversations, and the fast-paced energy of coffee, tea, wellness, and specialty food communities. A natural connector: You are outgoing, a clear communicator, and genuinely enjoy meeting new people and creating memorable customer experiences. Reliable & ready to learn: You are dependable, comfortable taking initiative, and excited to see how brand, community, and commerce connect in a physical space. Authorized: Must be legally authorized to work in the United States. Time & Compensation Location: On-site in San Francisco, CA. Schedule: Part-time, event-based. Base Pay: $15.00–$20.00 per hour. Shifts are typically 6–8 hours, depending on event setup and closing needs. Bonus Commission: Earn a 10% commission on your total sales for the day once your daily sales reach $2,000 USD.
