Our client, a rapidly growing e-commerce leader, is seeking a dynamic and experienced Warehouse Operations Manager to oversee their state-of-the-art fulfillment center. This critical role requires a hands-on leader dedicated to optimizing warehouse efficiency, ensuring timely order fulfillment, and maintaining a safe working environment. You will be responsible for managing all aspects of warehouse operations, including inventory management, staff supervision, process improvement, and logistics coordination. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in logistics, supply chain management, and people leadership within a high-volume distribution environment. This position is based at our facility in Kimberley, Northern Cape, ZA . Responsibilities: Direct and manage all day-to-day warehouse operations, including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping. Develop and implement strategies to optimize warehouse layout, workflow, and resource allocation for maximum efficiency. Manage inventory levels accurately, implementing robust cycle counting and reconciliation processes. Oversee the selection, training, development, and performance management of warehouse staff, including supervisors and associates. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations, company policies, and operational procedures. Conduct regular safety audits and implement corrective actions. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track operational efficiency, productivity, and accuracy. Identify opportunities for process improvements and technological enhancements to drive cost savings and service level improvements. Collaborate with transportation and supply chain teams to ensure seamless inbound and outbound logistics. Manage relationships with third-party service providers and vendors. Prepare operational reports and present findings and recommendations to senior management. Maintain a clean, organized, and secure warehouse environment. Foster a positive and productive work culture that emphasizes teamwork, accountability, and continuous improvement. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. Minimum of 5 years of progressive experience in warehouse management, preferably within an e-commerce or high-volume distribution environment. Proven track record of successfully managing warehouse operations and achieving key performance metrics. Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control principles. Experience with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus. Excellent leadership, team-building, and people management skills. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with staff at all levels. Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing business needs. Knowledge of safety regulations and best practices in warehouse environments.
