An armed response company in Kempton Park, Gauteng requires a Security Guard to respond to alarm activations and emergency calls. You will conduct rapid response patrols, investigate suspicious activity, and liaise with law enforcement when necessary. A valid firearm competency certificate and advanced driving skills are essential. Responsibilities Perform regular checks of security equipment including alarms, cameras, radios, and access control systems to ensure functionality. Conduct searches of personnel, vehicles, and bags entering or leaving the premises to prevent unauthorised removal of property. Respond promptly to alarm activations, investigate the cause, and take appropriate action including escalation to armed response or law enforcement. Assist with emergency procedures including fire evacuations, medical emergencies, and crisis situations according to established protocols. Monitor CCTV camera feeds in real time from a control room, identifying and responding to any unusual or suspicious activity. Requirements A clear criminal record is mandatory and subject to regular review as per PSIRA requirements. A valid PSIRA registration at the appropriate grade level for the position being applied for. Good written and verbal communication skills to write reports and interact professionally with clients and the public. The ability to remain calm and make sound decisions under pressure in emergency or high-stress situations.
