Join us as a guest, leave as a friend. Bartenders ensure that our Guests have an enjoyable dining experience by providing quality guest service. Bartenders work behind the bar taking orders and delivering food and beverage to our guests maintaining and enhancing the quality of our service. You are responsible for making alcoholic beverages for the service staff. You will work in close collaboration with colleagues and follow established health and food safety standards. Responsibilities and Duties Adhearance to attendance policy and procedural compliance Maintain a gracious, pleasant and friendly attitude, while contributing to a teamwork-based work environment. Guide guests through food, beverage, and promotional menus. Responsible for attention and prompt response to the bar guests’ needs and requests throughout their entire visit. Present an accurate guest check, accept payment, and quickly complete the transaction. Answer the phone and assist with answering guests’ questions in a friendly, courteous manner. Prepare bar and dining room beverage orders promptly. Accountable for receiving accurate payment and balancing the cash drawer used during shift; daily/weekly bar inventories must correspond with cash totals. Stock all liquors, beer, wines, mixes, garnishes, glassware, and miscellaneous bar supplies. Open wine and champagne bottles and tap beer kegs as needed. Provide service in a way as to create new and repeat business and avoid guest complaints. Position requires slip-resistant shoes. Follows dress and appearance policy. Reports 100% of tips for each shift. Prepares stunning, handcrafted beverages with consistency of recipe and attractively garnished. Attend all team member meetings and bring suggestions for improvement. Avoid leaving work area during peak periods. Must show proof of alcohol and food safety certification. Abides by and keeps abreast of all liquor service laws. Do not overserve Guests or serve underage Guests. Perform other related duties as assigned by the General Manager/Department Manager. Minimum Qualifications Bartender experience required, preferably in a high-volume atmosphere Knowledge of basic restaurant hospitality and fully engaged, service minded attitude Must possess valid Manager food safety certification or any other food/alcohol certification if required by state law Good hearing for safety and accurate communication (with or without accommodation). Must be able to read, write and speak in English Must have reliable transportation to and from work Basic computer usage skills Compliance with our dress and appearance policy including black slip resistant shoes Ability to pass general information and departmental tests (test score of 90% or higher) Physical Requirements Prolonged periods standing and preparing drinks. Ability to complete orders quickly and accurately. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at a time. Must be legal drinking age or older. SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES This position does not include any supervisory responsibilities.
