Job Description: SUMMARY: Responsible for properly executing security duties on assigned shift, to adequately provide safety for and property of customers, Team Members and the company's property. Notifies officers or guards of activity requiring security presence. Handles emergency and non-emergency phone calls from customers and employees. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:Interacts effectively with the public and Team Members. Performs excellent customer service at all time, providing positive greetings and farewells and opening doors for guests as necessary.Operates dispatch and surveillance equipment.Enters accurate data into computer-aided dispatching systems (CAD).Generates necessary written reports regarding security-related incidents involving customers, Team Members and/or the facility.During emergency situations, coordinates response calls, and informs outside agencies of any unusual or suspicious situations on property. Ensures proper notifications are made in regard to emergency situations, or as directed.Guards all transfers of monies and chips on the casino floor as well as the physical transportation of hopper fills, chip fills, and credits.Escorts and observes customers and Team Members to ensure their safety and protection; identifies potential safety hazards and reports same to the appropriate individual for proper resolution.Becomes familiar with hazardous materials used on property and all applicable laws, rules and regulations governing same.Operates company vehicles as directed to do so.Maintains a working knowledge of the Company's facilities as well as special events on property in order to advise customers and fellow Team Members of same whenever possible.Ensures safe transportation of company moneys and gaming tokens.Interacts with guests and Team Members in a positive, professional manner.Ensures a maximum level of guest service and satisfaction throughout the property is achieved and maintained.Facilitates the flow of information by attending regularly scheduled departmental meetings.Accepts identification from all persons who appear to be under the legal age to ensure compliance with state and federal gaming regulations.Operates and responds to radio traffic.Assists with traffic flow.Maintains a consistent, regular attendance record.Performs any reasonable request made by management.Ushers as needed by management for events.PERFORMANCE REQUIREMENTS To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to satisfactorily:Perform job duties, demonstrate excellent work habits, and deliver exceptional service to internal and external guests.Exhibit the highest degree of professionalism, including appearance, attendance, reliability, teamwork, ethics, integrity, and comply with all governing policies and procedures. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability requiredEDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:High School diploma or GED required. Minimum of one-year experience in law enforcement or gaming security preferred.SPECIAL QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent communication skills required. Must be able to speak on radio and answer radio traffic. Valid driver's license required. Must have the ability to type 30 words per minute. Must be computer literate and have the ability to perform tasks in multiple computer programs including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Computer Aided Dispatching (CAD) programs. Radio LANGUAGE SKILLS:Ability to read and comprehend documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to guests and other Team Members of the organization.MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.REASONING ABILITY:Ability to apply commonsense reasoning to a variety of situations. Ability to apply commonsense understanding to carry out instructions in written, oral or diagram form.PHYSICAL DEMANDS: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk or hear. The Team Member is also regularly required to stand; walk; sit; and use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls. The Team Member is occasionally required to reach with hands and arms, and to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The Team Member is regularly required to lift and/or move up to fifty pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to one hundred pounds.Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.WORK ENVIRONMENT:The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those a Team Member encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The Team Members is regularly exposed to outside weather conditions.The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. When on the casino floor, the noise level increases to loud. When on the casino floor, the Team Member will be exposed to a smoke-filled environment.
