Entry‑Level Field Technician – Construction Materials Testing – La Porte, TXIntertek, a leading provider of quality and safety solutions, is actively seeking a Field Technician to join our Professional Services Industries, Inc. (Intertek‑PSI) team in La Porte, Texas. This is a fantastic opportunity to grow a versatile career in the architectural, engineering, and construction (A/E/C) industry.What You'll DoOperate testing equipment and conduct testing (e.g., soil, concrete, or other materials) and provide assessment of data through reporting.Utilize drawings, specifications, and diagrams.Use specific methods to perform tasks that involve detailed observations of site activities and provide limited interpretation of results.Maintain detailed documentation and data from test results.Qualified Minimum Requirements Valid driver’s license and reliable driving record.Availability to work off‑shift and overtime as needed.Willingness to pass a hair follicle drug test (for this petrochemical office).Ability to lift, move, push, and pull 30 to 50 pounds frequently; occasionally over 50 pounds with assistance.Ability to receive detailed information through oral communication (hearing) and to discriminate sounds.Ability to kneel and squat occasionally.Ability to walk and stand for long periods of time.Ability to work outdoors in adverse weather conditions, including hot and cold temperatures.Ability to climb occasionally and work at various heights.Ability to work overnight hours and off‑shift.Preferred Qualifications High School Diploma or equivalent.At least 6 months of construction/laborer experience.Experience with construction materials testing is highly desired.Plant access.BenefitsIn addition to a competitive compensation package, benefits include medical, dental, vision, life, disability, 401(k) with company match, generous vacation/sick time (PTO), and tuition reimbursement.We Value DiversityIntertek is an Equal Employment Opportunity Employer that values inclusion and diversity.
