Role Purpose As a Supply Chain Teammate at Leroy Merlin, you will be an essential part of our logistics operations, ensuring the efficient movement of goods from receipt to delivery. Your focus will be on maintaining inventory accuracy, optimising processes, and delivering exceptional customer service. You will play a hands on role in stock management, order fulfilment, and driving continuous improvement across the supply chain, all while contributing to a safe and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities Receive, inspect, and verify quantity and quality of goods upon arrival Maintain accurate records and resolve discrepancies with suppliers and carriers Manage carrier schedules and align operations with delivery timelines Collaborate with sales teams to forecast inventory flow and improve service Prepare goods in correct quantity and quality for customers Act as a key contact point for customers, providing updates and managing priorities Improve order preparation and storage processes for efficiency Support customer loyalty through product knowledge and tailored solutions Keep storage areas clean, organised, and efficient Conduct regular stock counts to ensure inventory accuracy Work with sales and installation teams to optimise stock rotation and availability Identify opportunities to improve storage capacity and inventory management Perform routine IT tasks such as order releases and cancellations Follow safety protocols including PPE use and equipment handling Maintain workplace cleanliness and report safety risks Participate in safety training and contribute to improvements Maintain accurate inventory and timely order fulfilment Deliver high customer satisfaction through reliable service Qualifications and Experience Grade 12 / Matric (essential) Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field Proven experience in logistics, inventory management, or order processing Please note that all internal applications must include a completed Internal Application Approval Form.
