Job Summary: Process and disburse consumer and mortgage loans. Continue Monitoring loans post-close to service and process various escrow items, ensuring timely and accurate disbursements, and maintaining insurance and tax tracking records. Essential Functions and Responsibilities: Mortgage Loan Processing · Prepare loan files for underwriting including all vendor work and payoff information requests from third party vendors and institutions. · Generate closing documents, adhering to all CU policies, procedures and compliance requirements. · Works with Loan Officers and vendors to prepare loans files for underwriting. Processing loans, creating all necessary documents to close and disburse loan amount. · Ensures closing documents are in compliance with all policies and procedures. · Assists in organizing and preparing mortgage files for archive. Mortgage Loan Funding · Responsible for all aspects of the loan funding process including but not limited to: Maintaining tracking spreadsheetsWiring fundsIssuing checks for external payments and payoffsProcessing internal payoffs Consumer Document Prep · Prepare accurate closing documents for Loan Officers on Consumer Installment Loan Products. · Create the loan account on the core system. Consumer Funding · Fund all closed Consumer Installment Loan products. · Mail out payoffs as applicable. · Process internal payoffs. · Follow-up on any loans cancelled to ensure accurate processing by underwriting and closing any accounts out that are not funded. Augustine Financial Services · Assist Augustine Financial Services in post-closing service, escrow processing, and paid loan processing. Other Duties as Assigned · Assist all areas of the loan department as necessary. · Maintain a working knowledge of all lending products, regulations, laws, and rates within the credit union and the industry. · All other duties as assigned. · This job description is subject to change at any time. Job Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree preferred.· 1 year of experience in Credit Administration, Lending Support, and or Loan Operations. · Ability to work under critical time constraints. · Ability to multi-task and enjoy doing it along with presenting a positive, team-oriented, attitude. · Keen problem solving and resolution technique. · Detail oriented and strong organizational skills required. · Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word required. Physical Requirements/Work Environment: May lift up to 25 lbs.; Office work- must be able to use a PC and phone; hearing and sight are required to perform this job; may need to sit for long periods of time in front of a computer.
