We are looking for a dedicated Storeman who prides themselves on precision and efficient warehouse management. POSITION INFO: Our client is a well-established specialist in the design, manufacture, and distribution of high-quality automated poultry equipment and replacement parts. They serve the Southern African agricultural sector, providing essential infrastructure and technical support to the poultry industry. The Storeman will be responsible for the day-to-day management of the warehouse and storage facilities. This role involves full control over inventory, including receiving, storing, and dispatching specialized equipment parts, while maintaining 100% record accuracy within the digital inventory system. Key Responsibilities Manage the full lifecycle of inventory, from receiving and inspection to final dispatch. Update and maintain accurate records using the Omni inventory management system. Conduct regular stock checks and cycle counts to ensure data integrity. Identify and report on inventory levels, potential shortages, or slow-moving stock. Organize and optimize storage space for various poultry equipment components and replacement parts. Ensure the warehouse facility remains clean, safe, and organized in line with industry standards. Coordinate with internal departments to ensure timely dispatch of goods to clients. Requirements Proven experience as a Storeman or in a similar warehouse management role. Hands-on experience with the Omni inventory/accounting system is highly advantageous. Solid understanding of inventory control processes (receiving, bin locations, and dispatch). Strong computer literacy and numerical skills. Experience in an engineering or technical parts environment is a plus. Attributes Strong ability to work independently and take initiative. Methodical and highly organized with an eye for detail. A reliable and disciplined approach to daily tasks. Excellent communication skills for coordinating with suppliers and internal teams.
