## About This Position Archer Western Construction, LLC is currently seeking a Common Laborer for the Phoenix San Juan Lateral WTP project in Shiprock, New Mexico. This is a hands-on role where you'll be at the heart of construction operations, performing essential physical labor across commercial, industrial, and heavy civil projects. You'll work under supervisor direction, operating hand and power tools as needed, and preparing jobsites to keep projects moving forward. ## What You'll Be Doing Your day-to-day work will involve performing physical labor tasks as instructed by your supervisor. You'll operate a variety of hand and power tools—drills, hammers, and other equipment—according to management direction. A significant part of the role involves site preparation and maintenance: erecting scaffolding, removing and properly disposing of debris and waste materials, and digging trenches as needed. You'll also handle loading and unloading construction supplies around the worksite, both manually and with equipment support. Working effectively with your crew members is essential. You'll need to communicate clearly with coworkers and supervisors to ensure projects are completed properly and safely. ## What We're Looking For You'll need 1 year of verifiable construction experience. Physical capabilities are important for this role—you must be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly and possess good manual dexterity. The ability to climb and maintain balance on scaffolding and ladders is required. Be prepared to work in various weather conditions, as construction doesn't stop for rain or sun. You must comply with all safety policies and procedures without exception. Strong communication skills help ensure that everyone stays on the same page and projects run smoothly. Most importantly, bring a strong work ethic and a genuine desire to learn and grow in the construction industry.
