Position: Security Officer (Nights Only) Location: Greater London OverviewJob Description We are seeking an experienced and professional Security Officer to become a valuable member of our team. The ideal candidate will have a friendly and easy going personality while also being very perceptive and disciplined. A customer oriented approach is essential.This is a fulltime contract on a rolling nights only shift pattern: Wednesday to Sunday (60 hours) followed by Thursday to Sunday (48 hours) / 5 on, 3 off; 4 on, 2 off averaging 54 hours per week. We offer a pay rate of £14.80 with a holiday entitlement of 25.2 days inclusive of bank holidays.ResponsibilitiesDeliver and maintain high standards of professionalismAnticipate clients' requirements and ensure their expectations are met and exceeded each dayCover Security Control Room holidays/absences and monitor all security and building management systems and support the Security SupervisorMaintain a high security awareness at all times and adopt a proactive approach to situations as they developBe seen as a visible customer focused professional by being proactive and greet clients and visitors where possibleProactively monitor and respond to suspicious activities or persons using CCTV surveillance systemsManagement of the fault log and following up Help Desk or callout requestsMonitoring information received from internal & external agencies e.g. news feeds, social media, intelligence and responding appropriatelySecurity Protective and Building Management System checksProficient use of communications equipment such as radios for efficient and effective response during incidentsEnsure all Health & Safety policies are adheredLoading Bay managementMaintaining an accurate record of any incidents that occurComplete comprehensive incident reports to a high standard and ensure these are submitted in reasonable timeOversee and manage any emergency evacuations in your respective area of responsibility and be prepared to make difficult decisions in fast developing emergency situationsUndertake patrols and inspections in accordance with Assignment InstructionsProvide a detailed handover at the end of each shiftQualificationsValid SIA Door Supervisor and SIA CCTV licence is essential. If you are not currently a CCTV licence holder, you must be licenced in order to pass your probation.Professional, highly driven, flexible, enthusiastic, proactive, self-motivated team playerReliable and always alert when working night shiftsPrevious experience working in a similar roleExcellent interpersonal skills and the ability to interact with people at all levelsAbility to work independently with confidence, using own initiative as required, especially in highly dynamic emergency situationsKeen and willing to look for opportunities to enhance client/visitor experienceClear, concise and confident communication skills which are customer service orientated with a very keen eye for detailConfidence and common sense to access and utilise resources when making decisionsMaintain and practice a high degree of confidentiality at all timesComputer literate, able to write professional emails and proficient in use of security systems and Microsoft Office SuiteHave an acute sense of security awarenessVerifiable 5 years of continuous work employment and/or academic history without gapsGood understanding of one team ethos and importance of supporting the wider team#J-18808-Ljbffr
