Responsibilities You will conduct the following responsibilities, upholding Tarian's commitment to safety and security while supporting the values and culture of the client and community. Tarian is currently looking for Security Officers to serve our posts at major Airports and Government Services facilities. Our Security Officers are responsible for maintaining the security and safety of the facility, its staff, and visitors - and serve as a visible deterrent to illegal activities on property.Perform other job-related duties as assigned Qualifications Education and Experience: Completed High School Diploma or GEDMust be able to obtain and maintain any applicable licenses or certificationsStrong vision abilities including color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusMust be able to stand and/or walk for an entire work shift, move or lift objects up to 80 lbs., help restrain or lift a personValid driver's license and ability to meet Tarian's driving guidelines if applicable (for Driving Roles) Employment Verification For applicable roles, previous employment must be verified through our background vendor. If any employment cannot be confirmed, candidates may be required to provide proof of employment (such as a pay stubs or W-2s) Desired Qualification of the Security Officer: Previous work experience with the public in a service setting PHYSICAL DEMANDS & WORK ENVIRONMENT Work hours will vary depending on client schedules, project deadlines, and the needs of the company. Workweeks may exceed 40 hours. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand. Environment may be fast paced and stressful. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will spend approximately 75% of the time sitting and will walk or sit 25% of the time; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; occasionally the employee will stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Frequently engages in mental concentration, analysis, and formulation.
