A prominent financial services firm in East London, Eastern Cape is seeking a Chartered Accountant for a strategic leadership role. You will develop financial models and forecasts, analyse investment opportunities, prepare board-level reports, and advise senior management on financial strategy and risk management. This high-profile position offers excellent remuneration. Responsibilities Oversee preparation and presentation of accurate monthly management accounts, financial statements, and board reports. Conduct comprehensive financial analysis and modelling to support business cases for capital investments, acquisitions, and new ventures. Manage cash flow and working capital effectively, including preparing cash flow forecasts and managing banking relationships. Analyse credit applications and financial statements to assess creditworthiness and make recommendations on lending decisions. Mentor and develop finance team members, conducting performance reviews, identifying training needs, and fostering continuous improvement. Requirements Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to influence and build relationships with stakeholders at all levels. Strong commercial awareness and business acumen to understand the broader context of financial decisions. For credit roles, thorough understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies and experience with credit rating models. In-depth knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards, tax legislation, and the Companies Act in South Africa. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills to interpret complex financial data and present findings clearly. A bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or economics with an honours degree or postgraduate qualification strongly preferred.
